01 New Project Development

When starting a new project, I follow a comprehensive discovery-to-delivery process that ensures alignment between business goals, user needs, and technical feasibility.

Discovery & Strategic Alignment

I begin by asking fundamental questions: Why do we need this project? What problem are we solving? What is the business strategy? This helps establish clear objectives and success metrics from the outset.

Competitive & Inspiration Research

After gathering business requirements, I explore the landscape to understand if stakeholders have inspirations from existing tools that could inform our approach. I analyze competitors and similar solutions to identify opportunities for differentiation and improvement.

User Research & Pain Point Analysis

I connect directly with users to collect insights about their pain points, especially regarding any existing legacy systems. Understanding their frustrations, workflows, and unmet needs provides the foundation for meaningful design decisions.

User Flows, IA & Technical Alignment

Before moving into prototyping, I map end-to-end user flows, define the information architecture, and validate key paths through site mapping. In parallel, I collaborate early with engineering to review technical constraints, dependencies, and feasibility so the proposed experience is both user-centered and build-ready.

Design Thinking & Prototyping

Using design thinking principles, I progress from low-fidelity sketches and wireframes to high-fidelity interactive prototypes. Each iteration is guided by established UX laws and best practices.

Usability Testing

With the prototype ready, I conduct usability testing sessions—either supervised or unsupervised depending on user familiarity with the solution. This reveals real interaction patterns, confusion points, and areas for refinement.

Iteration & Refinement

Based on user feedback, I iterate on the design, addressing usability issues and enhancing the overall experience until we achieve a solution that satisfies both user needs and business requirements.

Stakeholder Sign-off & Handover

After obtaining final approval from all stakeholders, I prepare comprehensive design specifications and collaborate closely with the development team to ensure accurate implementation of the UI/UX vision.

Development Support & QA

I remain actively involved during development, reviewing implementations and conducting UX quality assurance. After deployment, I evaluate the live product for any UX improvements before the final rollout.
